Senses

My eyes gazed upon the vast night sky
It saw the twinkle of the stars
The mellow glow of the moon
And the lonely road ahead

The scent of salted winds and pollen
Filled my nostrils with its messages
Including pheromones of flesh beside me
Tempting me to indulge

Deafened ears struggled to hear clearly
Of the crickets that chirped along
The wind that blew past by
A conversation that barely made sense

It feels cold out there
A hand brushes against my bare arm
It feels so warm
The touch frightens me

Feverishly chewing on candies
Savoring its sweet taste
If my mouth touched theirs
Would their flavor conflict

All of my senses are trapped
Along the dark road
I stared at the moon
And begged for it to take me home
